    When it comes to properly functioning organs in your body, you need plenty of water and nutrients. These include essential vitamins and minerals. The skin on your body is also an organ. In fact it is commonly thought of as being the largest organ of the body. It uses a series of complex mechanisms to operate. 

    Skin creates new cells every minute and sheds old ones. In fact, much of the house dust you accumulate is made from dead skin cells. Without that constant regeneration, sores would start small and then consume your entire body. Vitamins are necessary for this regenerative process. 

    All natural fruit smoothies, like those found at Smoothies in the Outer Banks, are packed full of the vitamins you need. Consuming an all-natural fruit smoothly several times per week can actually help your skin improve by giving it the necessary tools to function properly. 

    Dry skin, damaged skin, and skin ailments like acne can all be improved with the proper intake of water and vitamins. Minerals make up a big part of it too. Zinc, Selenium & Magnesium are all key to having good skin. And of course, stay away from large amounts of sugar and fast foods. 

    You can also order items from smoothie shops that have these minerals. Avocado toast, for example, is a good choice. Avocado is loaded with these minerals. A spinach salad is a super food and will help out in skin care. There are also veggie smoothies available that include spinach. You will see dozens of options at your local smoothie shop when it comes to finding healthy ways to intake necessary vitamins and minerals. 

    Once you are used to eating several delicious smoothies per week, it will be habit that you won’t want to break. Smoothies are both delicious and good for you.
